Honest Review
Office Staff:
- Lori is on top of her game! She is a straight to the point kind of woman. The others....not so much. Others are forgetful and often do not have answers. Deal with Lori as much as possible.
Maintenence Staff:
-Awesome. Very knowledgeable.
My Experiences:
I lived there for 25 months. My apartment was located in the back, center of the complex. Parked 30ft from front door. Loved the area. I got lucky. Dumpster areas were always clean thanks to the tenants knowing how to throw trash inside of bin. East side of the complex tenants should take notes. East side tenants just left trash bags on ground, next to the garbage bin. The bins were not even full! I called it the ghetto area. Trashy, gatherings in the parking lots, and cars parked along fire lanes. (NOT GARDENS PLACE'S FAULT). Sadly, I paid over $1300 for the convenience of having a washer and dryer inside the apartment. It was worth it, but sucks because I could have owned a top of the line washer and dryer for that cost. Rent does go up every year your there.
If you want to do the right thing and go month to month because you don't want to bail on a new lease, BE PREPARED TO PAY!
Move out:
-SMH......I was charged $15 for a broken 4" piece of blind, above kitchen sink, I HAD NOT DAMAGED. However, it's my fault I didn't report at move in. My reasoning was because i never use that window. I did see it was broken while living there, but i figured it wasn't a big deal since it was left for me to live with. WHATEVER!
Deposites:
They take out a mandatory house keeping and carpet cleaning fee. They also take out last 2 months of utilities. Plus damages to any items on a list provided.
$57 refund....woohoo, (should be $72).
Recommendations:
Try scoring an apartment to the right of the maintenance office. Peacefull area. No noise from the freeway because of the wall barrier.
